GPU monitoring app?
Hello everyone.
I installed Win7 x64 and since i got this GPU a week or so ago i need some app that would show me the frame rate , GPU temperature and if possible GPU fan speed while ingame. Before upgrading i always used ATI Tray Tools so i have no idea what other apps are out there that have similar functions. Anyone know of such an app? Cheers

It supports ATI cards, but if Windows 7 give you problems check this. Good luck! |

Re: GPU monitoring app?
Nice find ! There is an edited config file for 4890 cards that allows it to identify the card
There is also a sweet little GPU monitoring gadget for win7 there ![]() Rep + The thing is i cant find an option anywhere to show any of the monitors while ingame i can only view the logs after i quit the the game but i need something like ATI Tray Tools had a little OSD in the top right corner of the screen so u can monitor temperatures while your playing. Is there some kind of plugin or something for RivaTuner because i cant find it or maybe some other program that has this option ? |

Re: GPU monitoring app?
You can configure everest to display temperatures of CPUs, GPUs, anything you want onscreen if you manually configure it. There are also options to put it in front of anything, so it appears in positions you set up, even when gaming. It is one of the most capable and customisable applications available for monitoring. There are also a few customisable apps for the logitech keyboard screens in regards to this (Fraps for instance can display frame rates on the keyboard).

Re: GPU monitoring app?
Thank you very much Mr.Zardon
![]() This program is simply awesome ! Very user friendly and has a LOT of information and options and the OSD monitors work great ![]() Thank you again ![]() EDIT: Ugh i posted before testing it ingame :\ The OSD works great but for some reason does not show in 3D Apps I checked google and their forum and they say that showing OSD in 3D apps is not available The only way they say it works is on an LCD display on a G15 Keyboard etc.Was worth a shot anyway so thank you

Quote:
EDIT: OK, this is the way to do it in RivaTuner (v2.24): Main tab -> Customize -> Hardware monitoring (magnifying glass icon) -> Setup -> tick Core temperature -> click Setup -> tick Show core temperature in on-screen display -> click Run server Last edited by deBelly; Nov 25, 2009 at 03:11 PM. |

Re: GPU monitoring app?
Sorry for the delay. My ADSL modem died on me and since i didnt want one of Telekom's new locked modems that u cant access or setup (and they didnt want to unlock it for me) i had to wait a few days to get a modem like i had.
Anyway i have just been using RivaTuners log to track the temps and fan speed but i have now tried what u said and it doesent seem to work either :\ at least not on DA:O. Anyway thanks again for trying but the log on RivaTuner will suffice

Re: GPU monitoring app?
GPU-Z is another monitoring app (but no OSD) you could use. It's very small - just one .exe, no installation.

Re: GPU monitoring app?
Nice ! I have been using CPU-Z for a while now and always admired it for its simplicity but didnt know there was a GPU-Z too ^^
Thanks Roy

Re: GPU monitoring app?

Re: GPU monitoring app?
Yeah it places it on top of everything else other than games. After i read that its not available on their official forum i gave up trying.
I tried it in DA:O, Crysis and CoD:MW2 turning off and on, repositioning, changing resolutions etc. and it didnt work in any of those games.
