Re: home prem 7
that's a 32bit limitation at 4gig so Wn7 32 will be the same as XP/Vista in that regard.

Re: home prem 7
The same bug exists in win 7.. Personally if your pc can use 64 bit id install that version.

Re: home prem 7
If you're doing any music it's a tough call...... for smooth operation all your apps and drivers need to be 64 bit..... not all of them are especially with stuff that's a few years old. A lot of guys doing music are sticking with 32bit just so everything works.

But what i found with win 7 HP over vista,Win 7 has many more drivers pre-installed for many devices..Where it saved me time in ther long run...Example my all in one HP printer/scanner was included..Along with Realteks HD drivers also,Even though there has been a few updates since the release.. Now as you have both disks,And the time to do so..Look around to see if you can find the drivers you need and install the 64 bit os.. You never know it may be worth while..But thats your choice. I don't know if this will help you out... Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor 2.0.4000.0 |

Re: home prem 7
install 64bit..
if you run into problems.. wipe and install 32bit Personally though, i've setup a few people with various music equipment, specialized mixers and hardware.. Majority of it all has been working very well under 64bit vista/win7.... however some companies really don't give a shit. After some fiddling, the best bet is DUAL BOOT win7 64bit and windows xp 32bit OR grab a relatively cheap laptop and keep them independant for the most part.

Re: home prem 7
technically it DOES use 4gb..... remember the are other components in the system that need to be addressed before it gets to the memory... one of the major factors being the video cards memory..
trust me when i state, running 2x 2gb video cards in 32bit is /wrists
