Hello everyone. During the last couple of days I have successfully removed a pesky trojan (winlog.exe, anyone who's dealt with it, you know) from my computer (Don't download and play "One Who Flew Over the Cukcoo's Nest" from Limewire...) anyways now I am trying to get my computer fully functioning again, which it almost is with the exception of some problems which I will explain. Three things that are not working properly: Catalyst Control Center will not start because it always stops working (latest ver.), Windows Gagdets will only start if I force it to by installing a new gadget, otherwise the only thing that works is that the current gadgets will pop-up on the desktop without being able to select a new one, the background image was not changing but it is working now but is still sketchy at best, now the custom login background was changed to the windows 7 default and it will not switch back. I can only guess these were corruptions relating to when the virus was infecting my computer. Now is there anything I can do to reset/reinstall any driver etc to get these things working again. CCC I cannot get to work for the life of me and I need those settings to tweak my display. Now for the other two problems is my only choice to do a windows repair? I would like to do that anyways but I do not have an install CD (thank you HP for making me burn 4 DVDs that would bring my computer back in time 6 months...) Any help, anything at all would be highly appreciated, thanks.
