Win 7 issues
I have Windows 7 Pro N, and I can't get the Customer Experience Index to work, it won't recognize my Blu-Ray burner except to rip CD's and it tells me WMACore.dll is already installed, even though WMP 11 or any other version has never been on there.
Any ideas? |

Re: Win 7 issues
Are you trying to burn data or videos?
If you want to burn Blu-Rays/DVDs or watch DVDs you'd need the codecs to play it, which Windows N versions undoubtedly will not have. If it's data you're trying to burn or audio discs then that's beyond me...

Re: Win 7 issues
Does the system see the drive? What software you are using? I would use 3rd party software that don't use MS codecs.

Re: Win 7 issues
N versions (and KN versions) of Windows 7 are missing the Media components, and thus a lot of things won't work that are related to codecs or playing videos, even some games won't work (and yes, the Windows Experience Index too). You can read more on it HERE, and download the either of the two 300mb files to add support right HERE (be sure to download the file for the version of OS you are using, be it 32bit or 64bit). After that you should be good to go.

Re: Win 7 issues
if it is possible to make it stay bigger than it would be a setting in IE, which I do not use.
a script might be possible to run and have it automatically zoom in when you open IE |

Re: Win 7 issues
Tools (Alt+O) -> Advanced -> Accessibility -> uncheck "Reset zoom level for new windows and tabs".

Re: Win 7 issues
by default the zoom feature in ie to reset it is disabled.....
if you choose 150%.. it stays there for all new tabs and windows and even after reboot... i've never ever had to go in under windows xp/vista/win7 to uncheck or disable the "reset" fuction.... so i'd be curious to know how that would be enabled.
