ati radeon driver?

Hello all,
I just found this site. Looks awesome. I have a desktop that has a ATI Radeon 7000 64mb video card. I have installed Win 7. The display driver is for standard vga. Is there a way to get this card to work for win 7? I can't seem to find any drivers for it.
thanks

Re: ati radeon driver?

Unfortunately, while results from Microsoft's Windows 7 Compatibility Center are a bit ambiguous, unless Windows 7 recognized your card on its own, there isn't much you can do as ATI doesn't offer Windows 7 drivers for that card.

What problems are you experiencing exactly? Are you able to set your desktop size to your monitor's native resolution?

thanks for replying. i can set my screen to the resolution i want, but if i play a dvd or avi file, it seems to run slower with the standard vga driver.

Re: ati radeon driver?

I just wonder why on earth you want to use that old card? Or the other way, if the desktop is so old it has an old card like that in it, PCI I gather, why run Win7 on it?

I'm asking because if you install XP there is a driver avaliable for it. XP will probably work better anyway on an old computer like that.
