Help with Linksys WRT54GL router
Hope someone can help with this
Basically i run Win7 (over a year no real changes in the last month or so) and the above router using the DD-WRT v24-sp2 (10/10/09) std firmware and for the last 3 years or so i have had zero problems But for the last 2 weeks any wireless device that i have connected to the router will suddenly not connect the odd thing is to fix this all i do is open 192.168.1.1 to get to the router internals and just press the save settings button , once thats done everything connects again for a few days then i lose connection again so i press the save settings and away we go again I don't have to change anything ... the system as it stands has worked well for 3 years does anyone have any idea why this is happening all of a sudden .. is my router possibly on the way out ? cheers for any help guys |

Re: Help with Linksys WRT54GL router
I have a WRT54GC and for me resetting the router every few days is normal. Perhaps saving settings has the same effect as power cycling the router. Other than that I don't know why your problem has just started occurring.
Could be an issue with your ISP or maybe someone else has recently added a wireless network in your area that is intefering with yours. Have you noticed any new networks appearing? |
