I recently took the leap and upgraded from Xp to Vista, everything was going well, but to my surprise my nvidia 7800 card was not working properly,
I would be able to start a game up, but when i was in the game, the graphics would be garbled and odd looking. It even looks messed up for default vista games like chess. I've set windows updates to never install because of the hassle it causes. Is there a fix that windows has implemented for the display adapter and should i turn it back on to see if they have a patch? I installed nvidia vista drivers, so i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong. :/ help? |

Sounds like a case of really screwed up drivers to me. Probably from the upgrade from XP to Vista.
I'd try uninstalling all of your video drivers and using DriverCleaner to clean out the junk leftover and then installing a new video driver set for Vista.

lol, let's not insult the guy. He has perfectly good reasons for not wanting to install Windows updates, I'm sure. Besides, your post would techincally be thread jacking, IIRC.
