Major issue with newest Nvidia drivers...***

I am having a major issue with my machine. When I install the drivers and i go to login to Vista it does not show my desktop. I have to uninstll the drivers in safe mode and install the older drivers. I have the 7950Gx2 with vista ultimate. Something is wrong here.
