Re: NVIDIA ForceWare 185.65 Beta (Vista)

Damn you nvidia, what the hells going on here? I was hoping to hold on to these 8800GTS cards until Win7 (dx11) hits the market. Buying anything in the meantime would be playing into the hands of the gfx card companies who are hoping I will buy again in 6months or so when DX11 is released.

Re: NVIDIA ForceWare 185.65 Beta (Vista)

You know, this isn't the first time they've had beta drivers without support for certain cards (when they released the G200 series they had betas for them, but no other cards), and then later when they go WHQL, or have another set of betas, Nvidia had support for those missing cards back in there.

'Sides, wait a few minutes, and I'm sure you will see a hacked INF real soon.

Re: NVIDIA ForceWare 185.65 Beta (Vista)

Ambient Occlusion drivers are just too damn buggy and I think this is why none of them have come out of beta. Each time I've tried setting it to "On" and then tried Fallout 3 it would cause the game to crash after a few minutes of gameplay...this driver was no different. Also, Nhancer won't start with these drivers.

I'll stick with this set for now but if there's any further issues I'm going back to the 182.46 set, which were fantastic.

That's possibly due to Nvidia releasing a new set of betas today

185.66 32 Bit

185.66 64 Bit

No mention to what is changed.
