"Failed to find any installable components"

I just bought myself a new laptop. It has a radeon xpress 1100 graphics card in it. The drivers i have install right now do not have support for openGL. This however is a major problem which i did not realize when i bought the laptop. I do some programming that ties into openGL, and requires support for it to test it. The new drivers say they have support for openGL for my graphics card. I tried to install the desktop drivers using mobility modder. But it complains that there are no installable components, which is impossible. Did anyone have this problem or have any suggestions for me?

Who made your laptop,

Contact that laptop manufuacturer and DEMAND that they allow ATI to support your laptop in the mobility series. Or for drivers.

make sure you download the Mobility Series drivers as well, you don't want the desktop ones.

as far as i can tell, the x1100 series isn't listed as a support product atm. so your best bet is still to talk to your manufuacturer for support. ATI's hands are tied.
