ATi: Want to Set Yourself Apart From nVidia?

This is definitely a driver related post so I am placing it here.

ATi already has better Vista drivers. Well make your commitment to x64 drivers known. If you really want to be bold declare you will be focusing on them first where Vista is concerned.

There are a lot of users out here that are tired of being second rate citizens because they chose to use the more advanced and secure OS. Tap into that, make some money and make us happy.

I would sell my GTX and buy the HD 2900XT if this were already a fact.

MS is being gutless about forcing the move and early indicators are showing even their next OS after Vista will be 32bit or 64bit. It's getting old.

Anyway ATi, this wouldn't be a bad thing on another front, since you are hooked up with AMD and they lead the charge into x64.

I believe AMD processors show more of a gain when moving from 32bit to 64bit than Intel's by comparison. That's a topic for another day though.

Assume a x64 first philosophy and market it. AMD + ATi = x64 first. x64 enthusiasts, we are your brand, etc etc. There are folks that will respond.

There isnt enough market share to make Vista X64 a priority at the moment. That will change in the future as more people move to using 4GB of ram which only X64 supports correctly.

The majority of Vista users are using the 32bit version so thats going to get the most support.
