ATI/AMD Issues Hotfix for Catalyst 7.9 All OS Versions!
"ATI has released a hotfix for Catalyst 7.9 [that] improves performance and compatibility in the following titles: Enemy Territory Quake Wars, Bioshock, Call of Juarez, World in Conflict, Time Shift and Team Fortress 2. This driver is available for all Microsoft Windows operation systems and supports all GPUs above Radeon X300."
You can download these from this fast server: TechConnect Community Forums -> Download Manager -> ATI Use at your own risk! The package includes everything: Drivers, CCC, WDM, Avivo, and Parental Controls, among others. Report any results here.

I have had my first problems with the Radeon Drivers since taking ATI cards over Nvidia several years ago. Maybe I've been lucky.
The 7.9 official drivers would not even install for me on Vista Ultimate, I have submitted feedback to the Catalyst team, the result was 'INF not found'. These hotfix ones, do work okay in Enemy Territory Quake Wars and my performance is better than I expected, however they have hosed the HDTV output. I have problem where the 1080P60Hz which was added on the CCC keeps dropping off, or the refresh rate goes for 60 down to 25 spontaneously. Also the aspect ratio for 1080 playback on my HDTV cuts off the bottom hundred or so pixels, non HD stuff seems to expand to the correct aspect. Very weird indeed. Other game i play is WoW and performance and quality appears unchanged.
