I may have missed a thread somewhere, but it looks like the monitor brightness option has been dropped now. I can't find the link now under the colour tab?
Also, for some reason, openGL seems less stable. Demos like legomania completely crash my system now and the card stopped working. I get the message windows had to restart the ati drivers. http://www.scene.org/file.php?file=/...y.zip&fileinfo Previous driver versions used to flicker wireframe in this demo, but it never crashed out before. |

Directx10 perfromance is very low, unacceptably low. Choosing DX10 over DX9 in eg. crysis means a 30% performance loss.
People are finding out AA performance on HDxxx0 isnt all that bad, infact its on pair with G80/G92 hardware. What seems to be troubling the HD series, from the start, is infact AF-performance - wich seems to be a joke. On top of that, ati enforces HQAF on HD-hardware, wich i assume futher decrease AF-performance. There is no logic here ATi, NONE. AdaptiveAA used to be unusable, but you (ati) finally got it fixed, but AF has always been perfect (on older hardware), although now it has a bigger hit than AA! Something should be done about this. |

Well, I am very suprised, suprised at how quiet this forum is. There was a time when 100s of people would have posted here within hours of a driver release with a host of problems and issues.
You can hear a pin drop in here now lol Now, is this a sign that ATI have got things right and everyone is happy these days? Has Driverheaven taken a nose dive in the popularity stakes? Has everyone ditched Vista and gone back to XP? Has everyone ditched ATI and purchased a rival card? Am I the only person on the planet that still finds issues with these drivers? Am I talking to myself... Is there anybody out there........ ![]()
