Has anyone tried the modded driver for Acer lappy?
Does the CCC has the advance feature?
feedbacks please!!!

Hi there and welcome to DriverHeaven!

The CCC is not modified in anyway so you should have the features in use what the CCC does have.

But mine is Vista and only have the basic feature only... it is so-called "crippled".
So far yet to come across thread on Acer using modded driver.
So really hope for feedbacks before trying it.

So you haven't installed the modified drivers. Correct?
If you have then there should be a menu in the Startup programs called Catalyst Control Center and there a shortcut to Advanced mode of CCC.

So should I uninstall the current one first or could just install the mod driver?

Yeah uninstall the old ones then reboot and install the modded ones. Remember to mod the new drivers before you uninstall the old ones.

I have Acer Aspire 4920G and use mobility modder to mod drivers and everything is fine here

Checking with u... prior using the modded drivers, is your initial CCC is the "crippled" one?

I've had several ATI Mobility enabled Acers, only 1 of which refused to accept the mobility mod due to it's age and the fact that it was iffy in the support ...

You MUST uninstall all previous ati related materials before proceeding... an overwrite install has caused a number of issues.

Hi!
My name's Andrew, I am new here. A bought an acer notebook for a month. When I found this modder (mobility modder), I was really happy. Then I ordered the instructions and finally I got a cool laptop with a cool vga card. Programs and games were fast too. Then I got a virus, so I had to reinstall my xp. I modded the driver and the catalyst of course, reboot, and the xp load in 800x600 resolution. So everytime, when I switch on the computer, I have to set the resolution. But I had no problem with the previous xp. Please, can you help me?
Otherways, the modder really cool and simple. Thanks for the author!
