They happen to provide a jump in 3DMark Vantage scores... At least 500 points in the GPU section...

These are RCs so they are better then beta.

Since they are not released from an ATI source the could be anything. Installing a driver from an unknown source is a great potential risk to any system. While I'd expect these to be okay I feel it's worth saying since these packages are usually presented without any information. Personally I hope that ATI quiets the source of the latest leak, if they're not going to put out betas for download themselves.

oh man...

this is my only refuge from the 8.9 HOTFIX...
it looks like ATI are not going to make an HOTFIX for my HD2600 PRO AGP...

mmmm... it works nice, but i don't love the idea of using only BETA or RCs for AGP support...
