Asus eah3870

I'm in quite a bind with this card. On the one hand, downloading the latest ASUS drivers, GamerOSD software, and SmartDoc fan control makes this an overclocker's dream, ASUS is still basing their updates off of 8.3 drivers. Add to that that a recent update from September 17th has basically caused most of my video driver calls to fail in most video codecs, several games, and in other situations.

I've used generic drivers prior to 8.3, but then I have no fan control and no overclock capability if I do. Should I just junk this card and get a 4870 or something that can access fan control from the generic drivers or is there a way to update my drivers without losing the EAH3870's capabilities?

Have you tried the Radeon BIOS Editor [RBE]?
