Windows 7 ATI CCC doesn't work :(

I really need to work so I can turn on my HD OUT PUT on my video card

Edit: When I try installing any driver package now it hangs on the InstallManagerApp.exe, even with the driver below that worked fine before. I assume that something in my Windows 7 changed due to an update that cause this change in behavior. I've read about others experiencing it too.

If nothing else works then try the second 8.12 hotfix package: AMD Customer Care
It was the first package that I installed on my system and it worked well.

I have no trouble with CCC and Win 7 with 9.1

But that link doesnt have a windows7 driver. that is only xp and vista. the windows 7 driver is totally seperate. CCC works fine with windows 7 and I have been running it for a few months now

so do you recommend the Win 7 preview driver over using Vista drivers or is it because of the issue mentioned that you direct him/her to the Win 7 pre release driver

Not sure which one is which in your mind, but the latest and greatest we have is

WEll, for me, I couldn't get the "Official Win 7 Priview Driver" to work. It would hang at somethig like "enumerating media files" or something like that. At that point it would sit with about 50% CPU usage and do nothing. Shucks, I even left and went out to eat and an hour later it was still just sitting there. I couldn't cancel the install from with in the application, but had to kill it through Task Manager.

However, the Vista 64 9.1 CATs work fine.

OH. while we have your attention Terry, Is there ever going to be a time when us folks with the X2 series cards will ever see a TEMPERATURE and ACTIVITY guage for each GPU on the ATI Overdrive page in CCC? It sure would be nice to have that.

I had the same issue with the Preview Driver until i manually removed my previous Cat install, after that they installed no problem
