Need a driver - can't seem to figure it out.

Hello everyone.

I am a gamer (as in I play FFXI), and I'm having some very frustrating issues with my graphics.

A few examples are:

Textures flicker and sometimes get overlapped by OTHER textures that are behind them (i.e bricks overlapping a flag that is hung on a brick wall).

Terrain features like vegetation not loading on the screen until you are very close to them.

Trees and stuff like mountains don't really seem to fade in... they abruptly just pop into view.

Rotating the camera angle causes objects to vanish (like bushes, flowers, etc) - when they should still be visible.

Certain walls flicker, and look like there is some sort of cross-hatching on them.

....those are just some of the graphical issues I am encountering...

Now, I tried running the process for the Mobility Modder and testing some drivers, but encountered errors, and the install failed. I also manually ran the setup.exe, but the old driver is still the active one according to what "dxdiag" says....

I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me through this... I'm new to working with drivers, so I'm a bit clueless on it.

Also, I'm not exactly sure what driver is best for me in the first place... the only game I play is FFXI.

My specs are:

Windows Vista 32bit
ATI Mobility Raedon HD 3400 Series
(I'm not sure the exact model of the ATI Card, everything I checked just says "3400 series")
