Counter Strike 1.6 low FPS !

OK, Here's my problem:

I have low FPS in Counter Strike 1.6...On my PC this game must fly...but it's not...I turned off WIndows Aero, executed many FPS Configs on CStrike 1.6 and no results...I have about 20-95 FPS...Installed Catalyst 9.10 and in Cstrike 1.6 in menu I have only 120-130 FPS ! Changed the atioglxx.dll file with the 8.10 version and added only 5 fps...I tried and the 7.11 atioglxx.dll and the fps increased with 10-15 fps...I started playing Cstrike 1.6 when I was 8-9 years old...now i'm 16..and I can't play no longer with that fps...

Are you sure you are using OpenGL? Check you CS video settings.

Yes, i'm using OpenGL render.

Okay clear something up or me, you're getting 120-130 FPS? or 12-13? If you're getting 100+ you should not even be worried....

If you're getting 12-13, it could be driver conflicts (try driver cleaning then reinstalling) or possible your card going bad...

i get 120-130 fps in main menu ! but in gameplay 95 fps and drops to 20 fps !

you know that steam while in game dont let it go over 100 if it jumping up and down like that it might be choke...it might have to do with online not the game..

I don't have steam my CS is NonSteam and when I play in any working server my choke is always 100.

I guess the only solution is to make a lite version of windows xp and install it...

Yes , try a clean install to assure it is not software related issues.

There are many things that could be preventing you from having ample FPS in a game such as Counter-Strike 1.6. Just one of the examples could be that you have some viruses, registry issues, or your hard drive might just simply need a defrag. Whichever the case may be, your last resort is re-installing the operating system and formatting your hard drive. When all else had failed that fixed the problem for me.

Try increasing rate in ur game settings, and also change cl_cmdrate and cl_updaterate.
try using following, choke will disappear.

Rate 20000
cl_updaterate 30 to 101
cl_cmdrate 30 to 101
try these it might help.

Also use fps_max to increase fps rate .

type these in controls.

Usually these settings result in chokes and losses while playing on net.
I hope I was useful.

If they don't help. format ur system, Its having some kind of problem or driver issues.
