10.1 drivers not allowing monitor to go in sleep mode?

just wanna see if someone else has the same weird issue

I recently installed the 10.1 drivers for Win7 x64

my card: ASUS EAH5750
my monitor: Samsung 22" TOC 2ms

basically when my monitor is due to go in "sleep mode" it stays on but the screen is black. It's not the normal "off" black, but a sort of "my monitor is still on but displaying black" ......

very odd !!

I remember with WinXP sometimes the screensaver / sleep mode options would get screwed up and you simply had to change the timings but not this time .....

Yep, that's a problem with this version of the driver.

Is there any solution beside reverting back to 9.12?

Re: 10.1 drivers not allowing monitor to go in sleep mode?

Ever since I started using HDMI to my LCD [over a year ago] I've noticed that, even when the monitor would go into sleep mode, the back light would stay on. So, I simply turn off the monitors when I'm going to be away for awhile.

Since I've done this for about a year, has there been any drivers that actually allow HDMI-connected monitors to actually turn off when going into sleep mode?

Yes, on my previous cards I had to use the DVI -> HDMI dongle. But, on my newer HD 5770, I can use straight HDMI.
