Re: Hotfix for 58xx Series Cards - Grey/Vertical Lines Crash

@Judas: Please take note of the last sentence in my first post above. The fix for the 57xx series will be next week sometime.

@SeraphicSorcerer: I've had very, very few of these but I have had them. From those reporting the issue, it seems more prevalent on cards being overclocked...but not necessarily only those. When I have this, I have to do a hard reset of the PC.

Re: Hotfix for 58xx Series Cards - Grey/Vertical Lines Crash

yeah but theres always a hope..

the first time i witnessed it, i was kinda shocked, everytime it happened i was watching a flash video and it happened back to back 3 times, i had the machine running for a little over 6 days without being turned off when it first happened and it isn't overclocked, actually the last thing i checked was that it was running exceptionally cool. I had 2-4 monitors for the longest time running and then that day it happened i was running just the one monitor and i couldn't beleive it happened in a back to back situation all within a near 1 hour period.

Re: Hotfix for 58xx Series Cards - Grey/Vertical Lines Crash

Prolly a dumb question but will these work with a 5970 card? I realize its just 2 5870 chips but wondered if there was any issue. Also does this hotfix also include the earlier hotfix?

EDIT: Its kind of confusing. because the new hotfix is called

Hotfix_8.69.3.1rc1_feb_2

and the other is

Hotfix_8.69.3RC2_Jan27
