Not able to transcode video with Avivo to h.264 codec
... other codecs work perfectly fine, but was really hoping to transcode in to 720p h.264 for better quality youtube uploading.
Anyone else had this problem? Is there a hotfix I've overlooked? Have had this same problem with both 10.1 and 10.2, haven't tried the 10.3 betas though... My specs: Q6600 @ 3.7 DFI X48 4GB generic ram 2x 5770 Win 7 x64 Cheers

Re: Not able to transcode video with Avivo to h.264 codec
I was just now able to transcode an AVI file to 720P H.264 using the AVIVO converter.
However, there's a caveat: The file was originally captured using FRAPS. AVIVO cannot do anything with native FRAPS files due to some kind of weird codec that it uses. So, I used VirtualDUB to open the file and then used the Save As AVI option. That created a 20 GB AVI file from my 4 GB FRAPS AVI file. The new 20GB file transcoded without a hitch using AVIVO converter. I'm using Windows 7 x64 as are you. And, I AM using the 10.3 Preview [Press] Drivers. |

Ahhh... yeah, the stuff I'm trying to transcode is from a fraps capture - I'll have to give that vdub conversion a go, cheers

You bet! Glad it worked and now you can transcode to your heart's content.

Re: Not able to transcode video with Avivo to h.264 codec
fraps uses its own codec so that's why it wont work straight ...
