* Overall scores increase by up to 8% with ATI Radeon HD 5970 graphics products

It seems ATI is preparing the arrival of the new Nvidia cards. Sadly, they don´t give any improvements to older cards like my hd3870

I've been using these for a few weeks now... Noticed a significant improvement with them in Dirt 2 and Bad Company 2

I haven't tested them yet (I'm waiting for the official release), but my assumptions coincide with yours. The entire 4000 and 3000 (and, for the most part, 2000) series are based on the same architecture so, if 4800 cards are seeing improvements, so should the others and Fantasma and anyone else curious should give them a spin.
