Updated to win 7 64bit and no go

I can't install any drivers. I get a "service installation in this inf is invalid"

I am running a gateway tablet pc with mobility radeon hd 2300.
I had no problem when I had 32bit windows 7 but
apparently the update to 64 has screwed something around.
I change all files to _99999 and modified I need an updated driver
to run my art programs for school correctly. Otherwise im shit out of luck with no opengl function. thanks.

Just a quick thought, I've done this easy mistake myself, but did you try to install the 32 bit drivers instead of the 64 bit ones?

Re: Updated to win 7 64bit and no go

my pc won't even try to install 32bit, I have tried them all, the only drivers that will install are pre 10.1 but that glitches out and fails. I have downloaded 32 and 64 bit for 10.1,.2,.3,.4,.5,.6, and .7 and all are giving me an .inf issue. I use modder. I use change the 2 inf files chaing the source disk name to the b folder and the updated the .dat file in it, as well as the names to all _99999 extentions.

What is the exact model of your computer?

Did you try drivers from the manufacturer's site, they should provide you with the right driver?

The problem with 2300 is that it's not a 'true' 2000 series card and so it's not supported by ATI's 2000 series driver.

If you can't find the correct driver on the manufacturer's site (although it really should be there), you can try the 10.2 legacy driver, but you'll need to use HH's Mobility Modder to get it recognized correctly.
