No 5.1 from mobility hd2600

Ive been trying for the better part of two weeks to get 5.1 out of the HDMI port on my 2600. Ive tried video drivers, adn audio drivers. The most frustrating thing is that a buddy of mine has the same card and swears he has it on his laptop. Its in a Lenovo y710 running windows 7 x64.

You can't get 5.1 out of it.

Far as i know the only way to get 5.1 out of it is if it's attached directly to an AMP/Receiver that takes an HDMI connection and can decode dolby digital 5.1/DTS 5.1 and that the material your trying to send (say playing a DVD/Blu-ray) and the software is able to properly send a digital signal through the hdmi connection..

Otherwise it'll be 2 channel and likely only 48hz or perhaps 96hz PCM
