3D Stereoscopic support?

I'm about to buy the 6870 and I was wondering if the Radeon drivers suported 3D stereoscopic gaming?

I've been getting nvidia drivers for awhile so i'm a complete newb coming to radeon.

The biggest question I have about the radeon drivers however is if it supports DUAL projectors for 3D output?

iZ3D drivers have this support but they lack full support such as dx11 or crossfire.

So, I'm hoping I can use my two projectors for 3D with the 6870 and the radeon drivers.

I've been able to get them work with iZ3D with my previous video card, 9800gx2.

Really appreciate the help,

Thanks!

Re: 3D Stereoscopic support?

I'm using a 6850 in my HTPC together with PowerDVD 10 Ultra to play movies on my Samsung 3D TV and it works fairly well. It's not perfect since I get a black border and only 1000p instead of 1080p but I gather this is because the driver hasn't quite matured yet. Waiting for the next set to see if it fixes this issue.

Haven't tried any games yet but I've played around with iZ3D settings and it works just fine on my setup with the setup pictures and animations. My conclusion is that 3D gaming should work.

Downside with iZ3D is that I have to activate 3D mode on the TV manually. With PowerDVD this is done automatically if I start a Blu-Ray 3D.

Don't know if a dual projector setup will work though. I'll have to leave that to someone else to answer.
