Radeon HD 5830 HELP!

Hey guys i just recently bought a graphics card and i need some help with the driver, i installed the card onto my mobo but then, when i try to install the drivers in the CD, it goes through the whole process and says it is done with some warnings but all the warnings say success so i restart my computer, and the ATI Control panel for my card that was supposed to be installed isnt there and the folders that were put onto my computer are all empty.. any help?? THANKS!

Try wiping the drivers for both this and your previous card with drivercleaner, then downloading and running drivers for your card and operating system from AMD's website, as opposed to the CD.

I do not own a previous graphics card but rather its like an integrated chip set?

You might want to go into BIOS and disable the onboard graphics first, then boot up again and install the drivers.. and make sure you've connected your monitor to the output on your new card instead of the motherboard.

Also.. rule of thumb..


NEVER EVER install the software for Hardware you buy be it video card.. sound card... mouse... keyboard... webcam..Printers... Scanners...etc... from the provided cd..

Quite often the software is first version... some of it is all prototype and highly outdated software.

ALWAYS go to the manufacturers website and download and install the LATEST package..
