The following download provides the following features in addition to the AMD Catalyst Control Center / AMD Vision Engine Control Center 11.7 driver release

• Enables AMD HD3D technology support on DisplayPort panels, such as Samsung 750 and 950 series 3D displays
• Improves performance:
  • Up to 10% in Crysis 2 DirectX 11 version for both non-Anti-Aliasing, and application enabled Anti-Aliasing cases on the AMD Radeon™ HD 6000 and AMD Radeon HD 5000
  • series of products
  • Up to 8% in Fear 3 DirectX 11 version with application enabled Anti-Aliasing on the AMD Radeon HD 6000 and AMD Radeon HD 5000 series of products
  • Up to 30% when AMD’s Morphological Anti-Aliasing (MLAA) is enabled through the Catalyst Control Center on AMD Radeon HD 6000 and AMD Radeon HD 5000 series of products

I wonder if they fixed the OpenCL + video acceleration bug, it's going to be fixed in 11.8 so I'd kind of expect to see it here, yet the release notes make no mention of it.

Also, nice to see them speeding up MLAA, I'll be sure to check the performance for myself. The Nvidia's newly demonstrated version of it does work great on AMD cards, but the game needs to support it, whereas MLAA will work on anything.

Okay, I've done a bit of checking and it turns out that the driver delivers on both fronts I mentioned:

1) the card is folding (at home ) and I'm watching TV and nothing is freezing; extra good new is, this should work with 11.7 as well

2) there's a measurable performance increase with MLAA, not sensational, but it's for most intents and purposes as fast as normal 4xAA now whereas it used to be full 10% slower.

Has any one tested this with a HD4800 series card i.e. 4850 or 4600 series i.e. 4670 as I have both cards. I'm going to build a new computer for my 10 yr old daughter. Used parts that I have here at the house.

I like this driver. Works nicely with Witcher 2 and Crysis 2 as well as GTA IV with that iCEnhancer mod. Not often that I like Cat drivers they've always gone some annoying issue.
