Help, Radeon mobility HD 3470

Hi, i am experiencing horrible perfomance with my ATI Radeon mobility HD 3470 graphic card, when im trying to play Diablo III. I came to the conclusion it must be because my driver is outdated, and i hope some of you can help me. I have visited the manufactures supportsite for the newest driver, but as expected, it is 2 years old. Now i tried to visit AMD support site, and their latest driver for my card is "Catalyst Software Suite". When i try to run it, it says that my graphic adapters version is not supported. So at last i found this website, and i thought i was saved. But when i read your step by step guide on the frontpage, it doesnt seem like i can do that. I think that the "Catalyst Software Suite" is not a driver, but a software to update drivers. I hope some of you can help my solving this matter. I would hate to have to buy a new laptop.

have you tried another modern game? it is likely not the graphics card but the games coding or the level you have the graphics set to. not likely to get much help here as diablo 3 is still in beta

no, i havent tried other games, since i really just care about the new diablo III :P But i am able to play it smoothly on my 100 year old desktop which is the same machine i played diablo 2 on. Also i have everything on the lowest settings, and my computer does meet the minim requirements.

Well this is very odd. Try this link assuming you have windows 7
ATI Catalyst? Mobility Display Driver
it might be you got a regular radeon instead of the mobility drivers the first time

"AMD Catalyst Mobility can't be downloaded because of incompatible hardware/software in the computer. The graphicadaptor's version is not supported. Conctact the manufacturer of your notebook to get a update for your graphicadaptor.

I'm running windows 7 64bit.

http://www2.ati.com/drivers/mobile/1..._32-64_ccc.exe if not then I suppose you might actually have something wrong or i suppose maybe a non mobility version of the card
