two monitors question
I have set the main monitor at its native 1920x1080 resolution. The second monitor I rotate 90 degrees. I want it to be an extension of the desktop, but at its own resolution. It is a 1920x1200 monitor, thus I want it to be at 1200x1920. No matter what I have tried, the monitor doesn't show the whole desktop, just part of it. Not only that, but the rest of monitor remains black. For example now I have set it to 1200x1920 and I have part of the wallpaper, a huge HUGE black border on the bottom and a smaller but still big, border on the top. Aarrrgg!
What am I doing wrong?

Re: two monitors question
Update:At least I found a way to lower the volume of the built in speakers.

Re: two monitors question
I've had that exact same setup before. Check if you have any scaling options enabled in CCC or in your monitor's menu.

Re: two monitors question
it should be displaying the entire desktop, however getting the wallpaper to SPAN the entire display, you'd have to go into your background settings and either select stretch or scale to fit or similare.
Alternatively, combine 2 of your favourite backgrounds and get them to match up. May have to download 3rd party software to get your backgrounds to fit or to display 2 different ones.

Re: two monitors question
I am halfway there, although I think I will stop while being ahead lol.
I have made it work as imagined, but just for the resolution 1920x1080. Which is not the native of that monitor (1920x1200). There are two black borders on the left and right side of the screen, normal size for this case. The mouse cursor crosses through the second monitor back to the first from the middle area and not from top and bottom, but that's to be expected. I can't figure out why the native resolution won't work at all this way. What I did to make it work so far was to go to the monitor's options (LG 245wpm) and change the ARC to "original" and to the HDMI option and change it to "Video" from "PC". Then, I right clicked on the graphics driver icon in the taskbar, I clicked/expanded the second (the middle one) with the name AMD HD Radeon 6800 series, and then clicked on "set desktop area to" and then chose "HDTV" and then 1080p. Any other resolution is fraked up, for HDTV or Basic. It also doesn't work if I try it through the catalyst control center. Which doesn't make any sense to me, but, what does logic have to do with graphics drivers anyway? Thank you for your replies.

Re: two monitors question
What does Device Manager show for your monitors? Generic plug-n-play? Go to windows update (or LG), are there any drivers for your models? Maybe some EDID info missing.
