Blue screen Ati radeon 9250 on Windows 7

Hello
I have a ATI Radeon 9250 Display card on AGP, and I install Windows 7 on this PC.
I download XP version for this cards (don't exist drivers for windows 7), after intalled shows ok in Device manager, but at restart/shutdown on my computer see a blue screen error: ati2dvag.dll
TERMINAL_SERVER_DRIVER_MADE_INCORRECT_MEMORY_REFER ENCE

You now how resolve this issues?
Thank you.

99% it's because you're using XP drivers, getting BSODs on Windows 7 on shutdown when using XP drivers (for any hardware) is known to occur.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure what to suggest to you. I'd tell you to try Vista drivers, but I don't know of any Vista drivers for Radeon 9250. Options for you:
- return to XP;
- if you're using Windows 7 64-bit, try 32-bit, there's a chance that it would work better;
- upgrade your card (any Radeon starting from 9500 and upwards and for GeForce cards, I believe anything from 6200 and up).

Actually, many AMD 9550 cards are on the Incompatible list for Win 7.

If the OP wants to get rid of the BSODs, it's imperative that the video card be upgraded to a compatible card, OR as you state, revert to XP.

Re: Blue screen Ati radeon 9250 on Windows 7

I have installed Windows 7 32-bit on a pc with a card what doesn't support windows aero. I also have a blue bar on the bottom of it, but its because the videocard doesn't support aero effect. You can let the graphics card be what it is, or buying a new(er) card. I recently installed windows 7 32-bit on a Dell Dimension 4550 and its a 9700 Mobility card which does support aero effects and have a score of 4.7 of a 5 years old card!!

But as advice uninstall the windows XP drivers or Go back to Windows XP or Vista or reinstall windows again and let the pc automatic install the drivers. or by going to right click on Computer>Manage>System Managment>Monitor Devices. and click on update drivers.
