Vista evaluation version ...

Ok, the thing is simple when MS puts Vista so that I could get evaluation version of it, like what they are doing with windows XP 64 bit edition now....

I wouldn't hold your breath. i don't think that is normal MS behavior. I think they did it for XP 64 because it has such limited exposure. To my knowledge, they didn't do it for 95, 98, or XP, so I wouldn't expect that from Vista.

Well, given that XP hit shelves at a pretty expensive price, but had a substatial cash back offer. Some rumors say it will be $100, but I doubt that, maybe $200 with a $50 cash back for the lower end verison, but I doubt it will be $100 standard. Can't remember what Xp debuted at, but I bet Vista will be about the same.

i can see them chargeing 300$ for ultimiate and going down by 10$ as the 20 different versions have less and less

Well, with XP they did release a public RC (release candidate). I assume that they will do the same with Vista. What was that a 180 day copy with XP?

What would be nice is MS offering the same Technology update concept as they did with XP x64 Edition
