WAIK 6.0.5472.5 compatibility with Windows Vista Build 5492

I'm currently using WAIK (Version 6.0.5472.5) and trying to open a Windows Vista Build 5492 WIM to generate the catalog file. I receive the error "The operation failed to complete".

Looking through the log file, I see the error: "There was an error generating a catalog file for image Windows Vista RC1 5492..." further explained with "System.InvalidOperationException: The operation failed to complete. ---> System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation" and similar other lines denoting some sort of exception induced by the process.

I was having the same problem with a previous WAIK / Vista combination and could not solve it until a new WAIK was released. As there is no new WAIK for Windows Vista Build 5492, I'm stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
