On the offical vista website http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/ it quotes for RC1 that

[COLOR=black]Windows Vista Release Candidate 1 (RC1) is now available to TechNet and MSDN subscribers, as well as those people who signed up for the Windows Vista Customer Preview Program (CPP) with the release of Beta 2 in June[/COLOR]

but when you click on the link it gives you it doesn't give a link to the download all it gives you is information about RC1 and a message saying people who didn't sign up for the Beta 2 can get RC1 in the coming weeks

but i signed up for Beta 2 and got it and i can't seem to find a download for RC1 from Microsoft (i have the .iso from a direct download link to microsoft from another website) was i ment to recive an email? As i've checked the e-mail address which i used to sign up for Beta 2 and i have had no mail from them. Also do you use the key from beta 2 or was there ment to be a key that came with RC1 or do you need no key?

Any ideas?

You use the key you got originally with Beta 2. MS actually send an e-mail with the links on it. I got mine today, however there is a backlog so be patient.

cheers, downloaded RC1 now, still haven't had my e-mail but if the Beta 2 codes work then hey i'm happy
