This is strange, REALLY odd i can't put my finger on it at all.

I've got currently 3 machines setup with windows Vista ultimate loaded on all of them, all setup similarely.

Everything seems to be working fine, however

2 of them will connect to the internet just fine, google, yahoo, hotmail you name it, haven't had an issue.. even to my router

however one machine most of all the website load, however, i can't load up my router, i can't connect to google, and i can't connect to microsoft at all, i've CHANGED NOTHING.

And doing the diagnoses, keeps wanting to "reset the adapter", which has been done and it can find the internet and it knows of all the ips and you name it. But it can't connect to specific various sites or ips at all.

Here's the weird thing,

within vista on that machine.

run ~> CMD ~> ping google.ca = works instantly
tracert does it all

load up IE7 and type that in and hit enter = nothing found.

I'm having the same problem, installed vista-rc1 64bits today, network cards are both working well, the rest of the computer also is ok. Network configuration is ok: I have correctly assigned ip,dns,routes...etcetera; I also can ping internet machines and resolve names.
Internet Explorer can't load any page, and Windows Update does'nt work.. they just let me wait a very long time (more than 10 minutes) and than tell me about "clicking here" to go on some internet page or download some error reporting tool, I can't get there.
Installed firefox and now I can browse the net.. no problems at all, just window's cant update himself, and can't activate online.. can't report the problem too.
