Try using XP drivers, either ATi's or Omega. They should work fine, but the graphics memory isn't detected, which is the problem i have.

I've had no problem with VISTA and my X800 XL AGP card working together. The only problem I did have was when attempting to use the ATI VISTA beta drivers with my card....until the latest VISTA RC2. Now, it's working fine and I've logged over a dozen hours of gaming with OBLIVION installed.
Are you dual booting? (I am) Have you tried Removing the card from Device Manager and letting VISTA redetect it? Who's the manufacturer of your card? |

OKKKKK!!! Resolved!!!
The problem is .... the ULi AGP Chipset and Vista!!! My mainboard is AsRock 939-DualSata2... Now, I have found on another Mainboard support page of the AsRock site(Why stupid AsRock don't support with the same driver my main!?), (mount the same chipset! The only differences is the audio chip and other littles differences), on AsRock Dual-VSTA driver section the "ULI_AGP_Patch"... I have tried this... and work perfeclty with Microsoft Bundled Driver of #5744 (i use now aero glass 3D :P!!!). With ATi Vista RC1 driver i got Blue Screen Of Death (incompatible with RC2 or the patch? ).I don't have tried games yet. |

Strange.
I have tried different builds, but it's the same thing. What's your motherboard revision? Mine is 1.0. Bios 2.20. Did you enable any particular settings for Agp port? Thank you! p.s. I have randomly freezes with 3d games... (after 1/2 hour-1hour of game).

Dual Core Processor and Vista
This seems to be a problem with a dual core processor, certain motherboard's AGP drivers, and Windows Vista. The ULI-AGP patch mostly solved the issues I was having with my dual-core setup, Vista, and ATI Radeon 1600. It still doesn't show my secondary display adapter for two screen support, but I'm only using one monitor anyway. So things are working, no thanks to Nvidia who purchased ULI and still have not updated the motherboard driver on their ULI driver page. Shame on them, since the patch is right there at ASrock.com! I'll float my solution to Microsoft tech support and see if they can't at least point someone in the right direction in the future.
