Boot CD Problem!
Hey everyone, Im new
Ok, i know this was probably covered, but i searched a bunch of things, and I couldnt find anything. I just finished building my computer yesterday and i went to install vista x64 from a burned DVD, and it didnt work. Now, im new to the whole building my own computer thing, and i was told that all socket 775 mobos are x64...hope thats true...anyway, i followed the instructions on the microsoft page about burning the ISO file, but Nero burned it as a UDF (i didnt extract anything, just dragged and dropped). So, i got a message when i started the computer up saying "Boot disk error, insert boot disk" or something like that. I then DL'ed the 32bit version, and still no avail, getting the same error...can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks a lot! -Joe |

Hi!
If I got your message right your are doing the following mistake: you are burning the ISO file onto the cd which is not good at all. You should start Nero, cancel the New Compilation wizard and then go to Recorder/Burn Image and select your ISO file. Regards, Partizan
