Will vista beta work after june 07
Hi there,
downloaded vista beta 2 and installed on laptop. Working fine. I understand that the beta will end on june 07 so I take it vista will stop working around this time, or maybe give 30 days grace to buy a copy if available. Just as a matter of interest, if I make a backup of beta vista partition now and reinstall after june 07 with windows update not enabled, internet time syncronization also disabled, and the laptop on present date and time i.e october 06 will I be able to use vista for 30 day periods until I buy a copy of vista or until the 30 day time to activate runs out. Just a question many thanks joe |

Yes, but who wants to reformat and install every thirty days (if its even that long). When the time period expires, you get limited functionality, basically a web browser. Nice thing is, XP will still work.

As mentioned above, and just to clarify, you won't be able to simply reinstall VISTA every 30 days. You'll have to format the HD and then install it fresh. Otherwise, the record of your installation is still there and it won't let you extend it for another 30 days simply by reinstalling it.
