Is anyone having trouble using anything else besides IE to connect to the net. Any other browsers on my machine perform poorly to the point that I will use IE some times. My antivirus will time-out before any updates are downloaded. I am using build 5744.
I have tried with two different network adapters. I have tried with different wall plugins. I have had windows check for a problem. Nothing I have tried has made it any better for the non-native apps. |

If Opera won't work well, I'm certain that Firefox will be adjusted when the final release of the Vista hits the stores. Open source software and all... |

Opera and a few of Mozilla/Netscape based web browsers that i have tried using them on Vista since the Beta 2 up until the 5744 builds all are working okay. pages loading time and download files are same as using them under XP.

I am not saying that anything is wrong with the the browsers or anyting else that connects to the net. I was wondering if something was misconfigured or if it is something I can fix. In RC1 build something greater than 5600, everything was working smoothly once I made windows fix the problem.
