OK, XP you could select a partition and share it fully, no passwords or permission, all you needed on the same network was another machine with the same workgroup name and boom... full access...

windows vista between vista machines is impossible so far. I can't figure it out. Other businesses around here want the orginal XP way of sharing and messing around with files across networks.... how do i get rid of this BS POS permissions and denied crap..


i mean it asks for passwords, i don't have passwords on the machines...

How about disabling the passworded sharing, in the sharing center, works fine here.
