Guys, apparently Windows Vista doesn't like VLC player so I'm looking for an alternative. Preferable, something extremely light.
I thought about Media Player Classic. Any others? [EDIT] Found a nice little all-in-one pack. Comes with Real and Quicktime alternative as well as Media Player Classic. Seems to do the trick. http://www.cccp-project.net/ Last edited by daedal; Feb 8, 2007 at 10:39 PM. |

yeah, thats a good little pack for vista... even lets you play x264 files in Media Centre or WMP11.

What happens w/ VLC when you run it in compatibility mode?

I'm running Ultimate x64 and VLC works fine if you run it in XP SP2 compatibility mode, although it temporarily turns off Aero while it's running as the program isn't currently compatible with it.
I guess they'll sort it out in the next update. |
