VISTA INSTALL HELP!!!! unknown restart

Hey guys!
I boguht vista home premium yesterday and when it gets 3 quarters of the way thru installation, the computer restarts for no explained reason. does anyone know wat the problem is?

Umm, it it when you're answering questions or when it's copying files? When it's copying files it'll restart, just leave it alone and it should continue on. The installer does say the computer will restart several times during installation.

Nah it just restarts without warning and when it goes to load vista it says it hasnt been installed properly. do u think its a hardware issue or wat??

Hmm, that's strange. My first thought would be to make sure there's no memory errors. Go to www.memtest86.com, then to the downloads section and get it. I recommend getting the bootable ISO file and burning it to a CD, then boot the computer from the CD. Let it run through 2 passes and see if it comes back with any errors.
