Hi!! I installed Vista a few days ago and am desesperate because I can't find a SoundMax driver! I've tried the Windows Update, I've tried unsuccesfully to download some alleged drivers but had no luck doing that. Does anyone have any ideas?
My soundcard is integrated to my ASUS P4S800 motherboard... Will I have to buy a new soundcard or is there a solution to this??? Thanks |

One solution I found on the net was to extract the drivers to a folder and install from device manager, pointing it to the .inf file when it asks for a driver.
Otherwise you might want to get a stand alone card, as there doesn't seem to be Vista drivers for the sound max.

No luck..
Thanks for your suggestions but I tried them and still got no luck.. I guess I'm gonna have to buy a new soundcard that's Vista Compatible.
Thanks anyway! |

I am tired of manufacture's poor driver updating!!!
I have a Rampage Formula and P5K Premium and I need the Soundmax Blackhawk drivers for my sound. In my research, the company that creates the drivers is Sonic Focus (you see it's name in the control interface of SoundMax). Sonic Focus Inc. - Clarity | Detail | Realism You can download the latest drivers here for ASUS boards: Sonic Focus Inc. - Support Just read through the page carefully. |
