readyboost saved me my money

lol ok, well i had 1GB of ram, then i gave it to my sister because i still had XP and the speed loss wasnt so great, then i was given the offer to upgrade to Vista so i took it,

since i gave off my sticks, i had only 512mb to work with, the low speed was SLOW i mean it was SO BAD

i had to deal with this for a couple months because im too afraid to ask for them back because she might bite my head off...... she likes her new found speed and i dont think getting the sticks back would be an option

so then i had the idea of popping the memory card from my camera, 1GB (actually 2GB but Vista only sees 980mb) 150x SD card into the system and set it to readyboost. did that and then most of my troubles disappeared. ]

sure, a few things are slow but its only 22.5MB/sec speed memory

i might actually be able to wait for Nehalem or at the very least, Penryn
