How to take control over Vista??

Hi guys, I recently bought the great Windows Vista ultimate 32 bits edition. It is really sexy, but I can't find an answer to a question...

How in the world can I format a hard drive!! The system says that I canīt because I don't have enough privileges to perform the action.

My acount is Administrator type... How can I take full control of every file in my system??

Thanks to all guys!

System Specs

That sounds odd, but you can always start with disabling UAC for more control. Control Panel > User Accounts > Turn User Account Control off.

open the Windows's Disk Management applet... to open it, in the open Run box, type diskmgmt.msc

then R-click the partition or the disk drive that you want to format and then select Format...
and capture a screen shot of the active window that also includes the warning/error dialog box and post back with the screen shot.
