Hi guys...
The details of my laptop Toshiba Satellite L35-SP2011 ACPI x86 Based PC Intel Celeron M CPU 1.47 Ghz Ram 512 MHZ ATI Radeon Xpress 200M (WinXP -256mb, Win Vista-128mb) why is this?? 32 bit operating System Phoenix Bios v 2.3 OS. Windows Vista Ultimate Activated Aero Scheme Running Smoothly Now the thing... I have read in the forums a way to go from 128mb to 256mb, sharing memory of something like that in the BIOS Setup. Now when i was using XP i had all the 256 mb for graphics video available, but when i upgraded to VIsta i only have 128, why is this.. I tried to change settings in the BIOS, but the setup of my BIOS doesnt have the option to modify AGP memory... I have Vista RC1 Drivers installed... When i install DNA Drivers or the XP drivers for Xprees i got all the 256mb available, but in some way i cant enable Aero Scheme, and when i installed the vista drivers from ATI or the RC1 Drivers i get 128mb available for graphics and I can run Aero. The thing i want to do is to modify AGP memory to another 128 to have 256mb, and i want to be able to run Aero with 256 mb available for graphics memory. When i used XP i could run Doom 3 smoothly, but with vista and its 128mb i cant run a thing... Any help or idea will be very apreciated... Im tired of searching for answers, and i couldnt find any yet... Thanks ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I'm not familiar with your laptop but one problem I see is trying to run Vista w/ 512MB of ram. Which is even worse if your graphics have to use the same memory. I would imagine that is why it's not letting you use the full 256MB you have set in your bios.

you need a minimum of 1 gig or ram decidicated to memory (not used for video) to enable areo with good performance. You are basicallly making your system have 256 mb or ram and vista will not run well in this configuration. Your only way would be to upgrade the memory. Also you need to make sure your card is areo compadible. Most built in video cards (intel and such) do not work with it even some ATI built in ones.
