mgrs.exe - nasty trojan, need help removing crapware?

Well I woke up today in a bit of a pickle. to cut a long story short, I noticed one of my machines had been infected with "mgrs.exe" a rather nasty trojan. ill not detail how it happened, but lets put it down to "user error".

anyway, it was hogging 10% cpu usage and 250 meg of ram, while forcing IE to hog over 1 gigabyte (and expanding all the time). Not only this but whenever you would force it to quit it would restart, and no matter what app I used (and trust me I tried a ton) it would never totally clean this nasty little turd from my system (windows vista 64bit incidentally).

Anyway i eventually found a marvellous application that totally eradicated it, and also found about 30-40 tracking crapware that no other application had. http://www.superantispyware.com/

Don't be put off by the rather amateurish looking site, this application is one of the best I have ever used. the free version works great, and the pro has some added benefits (real time protection etc). It also fully supports Vista and 64 bit OS.

If you are having spyware issues, or a slow system on some level, i strongly recommend you install the free version of this application and give it a whirl. I cant believe the crap it has found on 3 or 4 of my constantly on systems. Systems I figured were clean (with 3 or 4 other anti spyware apps running).

be sure to turn on "scan for tracking cookies" as well as "terminate memory threats before quarantining".

Takes quite a long time to scan on my main PC. Have you ever used Spyware Doctor?

AHA... finallyfinished,

just the 8 cookies..

5 of which have divx in the name... ?

either way, i'd considering these exceptionally low threat.... considering that all i have to do is delete history (which i do on a regular bases)...

I feel a little more confident now.
