??? Vista Bootloader gone?

I installed Vista on my machine yesterday, dual-booted with XP. I set everything up in Vista and all, used it for the day yesterday, yada yada yada (didn't make any serious changes though). I rebooted a lot yesterday, switching from vista to XP, and it was fine.

I turned my comp off last night, everything went fine, but when i went to turn it on this morning, the Vista bootloader didn't load, and instead just loaded XP (even though Vista was set to the default OS). It just jumps immediately to XP, neither of their bootloader shows (so it's using XP's bootloader, since there is no other entry).

The Vista partition is still there, all fine and dandy. What could have caused this? And would it be possibe to boot Vista by adding an entry in my boot.ini?

It seems somehow the XP bootloader replaced the Vista bootloader. Use www.vistabootpro.org to install the Vista bootloader again, or to repair it if was just damaged somehow.

Yea, problem is Vista boot pro won't recognize the Bcedit on another partition (I tried it already)

And from what I tried it seems it won't let me load BCdedit.exe in a command prompt either

Yesterday in Vista, however, I did back up the bcd.. I tried to restore it using vista boot pro just now but it was a no-go.. said it was successfully restored, I restarted, but still booted XP instantly.. and now whenever I load VistaBootPro on XP it recognizes the old BCD, the one that I restored..

*shrug* what it says in XP.. again, I'm wondering if the boot.ini of XP can be able to boot Vista if i put an entry in?

*EDIT*

Odd, it's working now That was rather odd.. hope it won't be a daily ritual
