X800 XT install issues on nForce mobo

Hello all,
I've read through some of the threads on here about Vista and the X800 install problems, but none really touch on my issue 100%. Here's what I have on my computer...

Vista 32-bit Enterprise Ed.
A7N8X Deluxe mobo (nforce2 chipset)
AMD Athlon 3200+
1gb (2x512) Corsair Extreme ddr3200
ATI X800 XT 256mb AGP
80gb SATA drive
Audigy 2 sound card
Pioneer CD-RW and DVD drives

Anyway, I installed Vista without a problem, but when the OS loaded it suddenly couldn't detect my 3Com ethernet plug. Then it said that it didn't have drivers for any of the nForce2 stuff and some of it wasn't even compatible with Vista. I then tried to load the most current ATI Catalyst 7.7 drivers for Vista 32-bit and when it rebooted Vista claimed that it "could not load the driver" for whatever reason.

I rolled back the driver to the original Vista "recognized" one and deleted the Catalyst stuff... Vista recognizes the card and has a verified driver, but now says that it still isn't fully functional (with the alert sign).

What is going on here?

System Specs

I ran an X800 XL on Vista since beta with no problems, though mine was PCI-Express. If Vista is saying your motherboard isn't compatible then you need to either track down drivers for it (nVidia site has none available for nForce 2) or look into getting a newer motherboard with supported drivers. Your motherboard could be a potential cause of your problems if it can't find drivers for your AGP bridge.
