Any reason not to go into sleep mode?

My computer was running fine, and then one day it decided it will never go into sleep mode. I press the sleep mode button, then it seems like its going into sleep. Then, the screen turns off, then the screen pops back onto the desktop.

Anyone know what may be causing this?

Any help? I think its my video card. I just updated it from the update in November.

I have a 8800 GTS.

Drivers can certainly prevent sleep, but I haven't read about such a problem with nVidias recent drivers. Do you by chance happen to have a Logitech mouse that is currently recharging? Recently happened to noticed that my mouse recharging prevented some power saving actions.

No i have a Razer Copperhead USB Port mouse. There is not anything that is recharging w/ my computer i believe also. All i have plugged in is a USB Port headphones. My Ipod charger (no Ipod connected), moniter, keyboard (Logitech G15).
